Queenswood Heights, Ottawa

Queenswood Heights is a neighbourhood located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the east end of the city in Orleans. It is bounded by St. Joseph Boulevard to the north, Tenth Line Road to the east, Innes Road to the south, and mostly by the Bilberry Creek Trail ravine to the west.

The neighbourhood was established in 1962[1] and was the first modern subdivision created in the area.

Schools

There are three elementary level schools serving the needs of young students in the neighbourhood.

Queenswood Public School, one of the oldest schools in the neighbourhood, was closed in September 2008 due to low enrollment and rising costs with its students being transferred to nearby Dunning-Foubert.[2]
